Joe Sanchez is entering his ninth season as Head Coach of the Barrington Broncos. He has been the varsity defensive coordinator since 1998. This year he switched to the other side of the ball, and will become the offensive coordinator for the 2010 season. He is a 1991 graduate of Wheeling HS, where he earned All Conference honors as a runningback and was selected to the Daily Herald All-Area Team.
He continued his career at North Central College in Naperville on a music scholarship and earned a bachelor's degree in Social Studies & Secondary Education. He was a four-year varsity letter winner as running back on the Cardinal team. Joe is beginning his fifteenth year as a social studies teacher at BHS and was an assistant varsity coach for the girls' softball team for eight years.
Joe is married to his high school sweetheart, Wendy, a member of the BHS PE and health department and they are blessed with a five year old daughter, Ellie and a 1 year old daughter, Aybree.
Dan Young

Dan Young is beginning his ninth year as a coordinator at BHS
This year Dan is our Co Defensive Coordinator. Additionally, Dan coaches the outside linebackers for the Broncos.
Dan has coached football for the past twenty-four seasons at such places as
Palatine High School, Trinity University and Cary-Grove High School. He
also teaches Physical Education at BHS.
Dan resides in Cary with his wife, Debbie, who is also a BHS administrator (Spec. Ed), and their two daughters, Hillary (20), and Lindsay (18).
Tim Norwood

Tim Norwood graduated from Crystal Lake Central in 1995, where he played
football and basketball. He was a student manager for three years on Western Illinois' football team. He received his bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Health Education at Western Illinois University, and he received his Master's in Education Administration November 2005 from National Lewis University. Tim teaches physical education at BHS.
Todd Kuklinski
Wide Recievers/ Special Teams Coordinator

Todd Kuklinski is entering his eleventh year on the Bronco staff. He spent his first two years as the quarterback/receivers coach at the sophomore level. This is his eighth year on the varsity as the Special Teams coordinator/wide recievers coach. Prior to joining the Barrington family, Todd taught at Lake Zurich where he also served as the offensive coordinator for five years. Todd played quarterback at Bemidji State University and the University of St.
Francis, where he was a four year letter winner and two year starter.
This will be his 10th year teaching in the social studies department at BHS. Todd also serves as the Head Boys Track & Field coach. He and his wife, Beth, have two daughters, Paige(10) and Kayla (8).
Steve Galovich

Steve Galovich came to BHS 17 years ago, after nine years coaching and teaching at St.Viator. A 1980 graduate of Maine West High School, Galovich was team captain and an all-conference, all-area lineman. A nose tackle at St.
Norbert College, he earned a B.A. in Psychology and History. He teaches AP Psychology and Global Studies at BHS. When it comes to philosophy, Galovich believes, "If you work hard and treat all people with respect, you can always feel comfortable walking by a mirror." Steve and his wife, Jolie, who is a member of the BHS Science Deparment, are blessed with two daughters, Becca and Lizzie and twin boys, Bryan and Gabe.
Mike Staudt

Coach Staudt is entering his 26th year of coaching football. He spent the past 18 years coaching at Buffalo Grove High School. Coach Staudt graduated from Buffalo Grove High School in 1978 and went on to play football at St. Joseph's College, where he started at strong safety for three years. He has been married to his wife, Sherry, for 24 years and they have three children: Katie (21), Chad (19), and Justin, (16).
Randy Marks

Randy Marks, a Chicago-area native, was a multi-sport athlete at Loyola Academy. Lettering in football, basketball, baseball, and track, he was a member of the 1965 & 1966 Chicago Prep Bowl Championship teams, 1965 & 1966 All State Teams, and a high school All American. Randy played Big Ten football for the Badgers at the University of Wisconsin while a B.S. degree in kinesiology and an M.B.A. A former St. Viator’s varsity assistant head coach and offensive coordinator, he joined the Broncos varsity staff in 1998 and coaches the offensive backs and special teams. He is a member of the Loyola Academy Hall of Fame, the Chicago Catholic League Hall of Fame, and the University of Wisconsin “W” Club.
Rich Roberts

Rich Roberts is returning for his third season on the Bronco Football staff this year. He will be coaching the quarterbacks. Rich recently retired from Buffalo Grove High School after teaching for the past 34 years. He brings 26 years of head coaching experience to BHS. Rich was the head Boy’s Basketball coach for six years and the head Football coach for 20 years. Rich played football at Northern Illinois University and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees there. He is an active member of the I.H.S.F.C.A., serving on the Shrine State All Star game and All-State selection committees. Rich has two children, Amy and Jim.
Al Sekulic

Al Sekulic graduated from Lake Zurich High School in 1980. He earned All-Conference, All-County status as a lineman in football. He graduated from Concordia College - River Forest in 1985, majoring in Physical Education with a minor in Psychology. He was a four year starter on the Concordia team, earning All-Conference, All District and All-American honors as a defensive lineman. He then played one year in Balogna, Italy and made the All-Star team. He previously coached football for five years at the varsity level for Lake Zurich as a defensive coach. Coach is in his third year at BHS and is an assistant coach at the varsity level for BHS.
Bob "Chick" Lange

Bob "Chick" Lange, a 1970 BHS graduate, has been equipment manager for twentythree years.
He spends many hours keeping our athletes' equipment in excellent condition
before, during and after games.
He is a tremendous asset to the entire program, and he rides a Gator. He recently was named to the "BHS Coaches' Hall of Fame."
Pat Wire

Pat Wire is a graduate of Cary-Grove High School where he earned All-Conference, All- Area and Athlete-of-the-Year honors in 1996. He went on to play football and baseball at Beloit College, University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, and Concordia University where he started at QB and pitched. Pat graduated from Concordia and is in his fifth year at Barrington High School after teaching four years at Prairie Middle School. Pat is also the Varsity Pitching Coach during the spring, announces girls basketball in the winter, and is the Head Coach of the Barrington American Legion Baseball Team.
Pat currently resides in Crystal Lake with his three beautiful girls; his wife Leane, his four year old Gabrielle, and his soon to be two year old, Bobbi.
Nate Gray

Nate Gray is a graduate of Johnson Creek High School in Wisconsin where he earned All-Conference and All-Area in three sports—football, basketball and baseball. He also earned Athlete of the Year in 1997. Nate went on to play football and baseball at Beloit College, and baseball at Concordia in River Forest. He currently resides in Cary with his wife, Shelly, their daughter, Kylie, and their dog, Peyton.
Gary Rizzio

Gary Rizzio is an assistant varsity football coach. He has been coaching with the Barrington Football program for 15 years. He teaches Tech Lab at Barrington Middle School - Prairie Campus. He also coaches wrestling at the Prairie Middle School. Gary and his wife, Jennifer, have a daughter, Samantha, and two sons, Zachary and Matthew.
Kevin Kaplan

Kevin Kaplan is entering his third year at BHS and teaches in the Social Studies department. He will be coaching the sophomore defense. In 1999, Kevin graduated from Cary-Grove High School, where he lettered in football, basketball and track, and was McHenry County Athlete of the year. Kevin went on to play four years of football at Illinois Wesleyan University, where he spent three years on the CCIW All-Conference team as a return specialist and defensive back. In 2002 Kevin was invited to play in the Aztec Bowl as a Division III All-American. Kevin earned his B.A. in History from Illinois Wesleyan and his teaching certificate from North Park University. Kevin loves his wife, Natalie and son, Elijah.

Kevin Art graduated from Wheeling High School in 1991, where he played football. He received his Social Studies Teaching Certificate in 1995 from Illinois State University and his Master's Degree in School Counseling in 2004 from Northern Illinois University. Between 1995 and 1999, he taught at Forest Academy in Chicago and Camelot School in Palatine. He coached football, softball and volleyball at these alternative schools. He is a special education teacher and a sophomore football coach at BHS. Kevin's wife,
Elaine, is a speech pathologist for the Department of Human Services. Coach Art has two sons, Alex and Rylan.
Scott Blecha

Scott Blecha is a graduate of Illinois State University and is an assistant coach on the freshmen team. He is in his fourth year of teaching at BHS and is teaching Algebra 2B, Algebra 1C and College Algebra. Scott is also a graduate of Conant High School where he played varsity quarterback and lead the team to an MSL West Championship and an Elite 8 appearance in the 8A playoffs.
Chris Hawkins

Chris Hawkins is beginning his first year at Barrington High School. A 2003 graduate of Lake Park High School, he was an All-Conference and Academic All-State offensive lineman. Chris completed his Bachelors Degree in Special Education at Northern Illinois University in December of 2007. Chris will teach science and math in the Special Services Department at BHS this fall.
Bob Seidel

Bob Seidel graduated from Barrington High School in 2001 where he played four years of football. After receiving both a B.A. and M.S. in History from Illinois State University, Bob returned to his alma mater to teach Social Studies. This is his fourth year coaching at the freshman level. He and his wife Kristen live in McHenry.
